I went to Oregon Inlet today with Donnie, Lee Ann, Adam, and Chase. The last time we went fishing together, the water was clear and warm, and had a we put a bunch of nice flounder in the cooler. This time the water was brown, much cooler, and had a bunch of grass.
We looked for the puppy drum but couldn't find them. We tried several bridge pilings for Sheepshead but caught none. We put baits on the bottom and we caught lots of fish. They just weren't very big. We tried many spots and finally got the makings of a modest fish fry. We'll have to try some backcountry casting for trout and drum the next time.
