The inshore Family Fishing Adventure is an exciting way to spend time on the water while trying to catch something for dinner!
Regardless of skill level, this trip provides a true Outer Banks angling experience. You will be casting lures and baits for seatrout, drum, and flounder and/or anchoring up at one of our sound bridges where we can add Sheepshead to our list of target species.
- Zero experience needed — the captain is a patient, well-trained instructor
- Excellent introduction to fishing for children
- No fishing license is required
- Bait and tackle is provided
Captain Gene's fishing charters depart from North Carolina public boat ramps located in Nags Head, Manteo, and Manns Harbor.
Saltwater Game Fish
- Spotted seatrout (speckled trout or specks)

- Bluefish
- Black drum
- Striped bass (rockfish or stripers)
- Red drum
- Sheepshead
- Weakfish (grey trout)
- Spot
- Southern kingfish (sea mullet)
- Atlantic croaker
In addition to these target species, expect to pull in some recreational by catch as well.
