Lenny hooked his first Smallmouth bass when he was eight years old while fishing in Connecticut's Natchaug River.

After he moved to Virginia, he became proficient in catching Striped bass, Spadefish, flounder, Spanish mackerel, and Black drum in the Chesapeake Bay.

Lenny has fished on the Outer Banks since the mid 1980s and moved to Wanchese, North Carolina (Roanoke Island) in 2008. He holds degrees in Biology, Natural History, and Secondary Education and teaches Science in a North Carolina public high school.
