Last year it was "Croaker Madness!" This year it was a "Fish Fry Frenzy." I was out this morning with John, Michelle, Emma, and Sarah. We did an evening bottom fishing trip last year and put a hurting on the croaker. Emma caught 35 by herself. I wanted them to sample some of the fantastic trout fishing that we have been having this year so we did. We started out slow with a fish here and there. We made a couple of moves and found some nice ones. They were coming in pretty steady for awhile there.
By the end of the trip, we had caught several species of fish and put five trout and a keeper flounder in the cooler for a fish fry later on.
You guys are loads of fun and helpful with the anchor. John, next year I'll find you a Red drum bigger than Emma's. And oh, by the way. One of the fish was truly the BFOD but I'm not sure whose it was.
- Spotted seatrout (specks)
- Southern flounder
- Red drum
- Atlantic croaker
- Sliverside minnow - (SFOD) actually hooked in mouth
