22 June 2016: Sorry, Soundside Adventures has discontinued the Outer Banks clamming charter.

Inshore Report

This morning I took Harry, Kee, Maddie, Noah, and Mrs. Lee to Oregon Inlet for an OBX clamming charter.

Low tide occurred early and the water was already moving back in when we arrived. They got right down to some raking and after a short time started finding some clams. We stayed in that spot and found some nice ones but after a while had to leave due to rising waters.

I took everyone to two other spots that normally produce and got skunked. Stop number four produced more clams.

It was a great day to be on the water with a bunch of fun-loving people who made it obvious that they really enjoyed their trip. They went home with more than enough to make a big pot of chowder, a bunch of fritters, and some steamed cherrystone appetizers. Yum!
