I was out this morning with Maggie and her family.
We started with a good trip to "Pelican Island." There were lots of birds there and they gave us a good show with their preening, waddling, and diving.
I took them to a different island where we hopped out and did a scavenger hunt. This was a good time and lots of cool things were found, studied, photographed, and released unharmed. There were lots of Hermit crabs today.
While we were traveling, we got good looks at Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, which are always a treat.
We finished up with a quick tour of Oregon Inlet and some fishing under the Bonner Bridge. Everybody had fun and we caught a few fish.
