I went on a family fishing adventure this morning with Joe, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Makenna.
It was a little windy but we stayed out of the rough stuff and still found a bunch of fish. It was a bottom fishing day and we quickly racked up a bunch of stuff. We threw a crab line out and it was both productive and a lot of fun for the kids. I had been talking about the trout fishing that we have been having but could not coax them on the baits. Later at a different spot I decided to take a cast. Wouldn't you know? One cast and one very nice speckled trout. It went in the cooler with a bunch of Sea mullet and some Blue crabs.
It wouldn't be right if I didn't mention Matthew's stingray. It was an awesome fight and he released the ray unharmed after a taking a photo.
You guys made a great crew. Thanks and I hope to see you next year.
