Today I fished with my good friend Keith who brought along sons-in-law, Rowdy and Tom.
They wanted to tangle with something big so we ventured into the ocean with a couple bags of chum looking for sharks.
The Kingfisher is a 24-foot Carolina Skiff® and has to pick its days when going to sea. Today was a little sporty. There was a nice roll and a strong running current. We managed to catch one seven to eight pound Blacktip shark but I decided that it was time to go back inside the sound. The water in the inlet was dirty and muddy and pickings were slim.
We ended up with a swim near one of the back islands and called it a day.
Tomorrow I'm going back to trout fishing.
