Bait a line and pull some tasty Blue crabs out of the sound for dinner!
22 June 2016: Soundside Adventures has discontinued the Outer Banks crabbing charter. However, we often go crabbing during our Kid's Soundside Adventure.
Gather your family and friends and enjoy Outer Banks crabbing on the roomy Kingfisher. Captain Lenny will boat your group through the sounds surrounding the beautiful barrier islands during the Kid's Soundside Adventure.
When you go crabbing with Soundside Adventures, expect to
- fish for crabs with poles;
- pull crab lines;
- handle live crabs; and
- identify the sex of a crab.
For 2016, North Carolina regulations allow up to 100 crabs per boat, and you keep all the crabs that we catch.
Although we do not keep the crabs caught in the pots, everyone loves to get a close look at the catch. This is also a perfect opportunity to teach kids about the life of a Blue crab and about the Outer Banks commercial crabbing industry.
